Itineraries

Day 1

Panoramic City Tour :

Arrival in Milan, meeting with the guide and city tour: Piazza Duomo, one of the city's most famous squares. Here rises majestically the Milan Cathedral, symbol of the city par excellence, with its unmistakable Gothic style and tall spires. We continue on to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and Teatro Alla Scala, one of the temples of Italian opera: The theatre overlooks Piazza della Scala, right at the exit of the gallery. Free lunch, in the afternoon we continue on to the Sforzesco Castle: Originally conceived as a military stronghold, today it is a centre of culture and also one of the largest castles in Europe.

Day 2

Leonardo da Vinci and Brera Art Gallery:

Breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide and visit the Last Supper by Leonardo in the refectory of the Basilica di Santa Maria Delle Grazie. Leonardo's Last Supper is undoubtedly the artist's greatest masterpiece in Milan. A jewel of Renaissance art that is impossible to describe in a few words, but can only be admired. Continue on to the Ambrosian Pinacoteca, where the portrait of the Musician and the Codex Atlanticus, the largest and most astonishing collection of Leonardo's drawings and writings, are kept. And in the wake of his scientific sketches, we recommend continuing the guided tour at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, named after Leonardo Da Vinci himself. At the end of the visit, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

The Fashion Quadrilateral and Cooking Class at the Mercato Centrale

Continue for a visit to the fashion quadrilateral, one of Milan's most iconic streets. A stroll along this renowned shopping street, among luxury shop windows and chic clubs. Via Monte Napoleone is located within the Quadrilatero della Moda, one of Milan's most fashionable areas, with boutiques and ateliers by Versace, Prada, Gucci, Valentino,Dolce & Gabbana, Cavalli and many others. It is here that one anticipates what will be the fashions and trends! Continue to the Mercato Centrale: The Mercato Centrale is a place where food is experienced, narrated and prepared by artisans who respect and deeply know it. It is a space to be lived and shared and a container that becomes cultural and social content, without losing spontaneity and simplicity.

Excursions in Nature :

Trekking on the River Oglio: between history, culture and tradition. Discovering the plain bathed by the River Oglio. Visit to the Borgo di Soncino and clay workshop.

Trekking in Pavia and Vigevano in English (or Italian). Narrated visit in a foreign language with the possibility of enriching the experience with a gentle rafting descent on the Ticino river.

Trekking at the Parco delle Noci: This is an enclosed nature park, with an area of 32,596 square metres, managed by the WWF Sud-Milano

Historical trails :

Lake Maggiore and the paths of the Great War : The Cadorna Line, also known as the Northern Frontier, is a complex of defence works built along the Alps to prevent a possible Austro-Hungarian invasion through Swiss territory. 72 km of trenches, 88 artillery positions, 400 km of mule tracks for a work that, fortunately, was never used.

Lake Como : Boat trip and guided tour of Bellagio: a splendid village bathed by the waters of Lake Como, fascinating for its beautiful buildings and enchanting sunsets.

Bergamo and Brescia : Capitals of Culture 2023 :

Bergamo is marvellous for its history, culture, music and landscape, with a medieval heart perched on a hill, surrounded by the imposing Mura Venete now a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Brescia: A welcoming and inclusive city, known for its ability to transform raw materials into high-tech artefacts, as well as for its strong humanistic connotations. Called 'the Lioness' by Giosuè Carducci in memory of the revolt against the Austrian army.
